John Monks passed along information from a Bellmore social worker regarding a neighborhood family in need – we will pursue this and get more details; they are asking for clothes and food
We thank John Monks for staying an additional year

John Burke has put in the recommendation that we utilize 5 committees:
1 - Strawberry Festival
2 - Installation Dinner – past president as chair
3 - Kamp Kiwanis
4 – Bellmore Street Fair
5 – Community Service / food baskets / pancake breakfast – Bill and Walter

Additional ad hoc committees include:

John Scalesi told us that the Mepham Key Club will be doing a blood drive on 11/18 with the fire department; a Unicef drive on Halloween; he has been asked to invite some of these kids to one of our meetings

We agreed to invite the Key Club advisors to our Installation Dinner

Judy spoke about the Aktion Club in Manhasset; suggested we make them honorary members and they can work for their dues; Judy is coordinating their Installation Dinner
