We received mail from the Bellmore Food Pantry thanking us for our donation for the holidays.
Welcome to our guests, Dave Denenberg and new member Ted Clarke.
Reports from our committees:
Sunshine Committee – Andrea send out flowers to Monica Tarantino on the passing of her mother
Community Events – Irene dropped off toys and gifts for the holiday at the Shore Rd. School for 4 families in need
Kamp Kiwanis – if anyone is interested in visiting the camp this spring, the best time would be the work weekend. The social worker from South Bellmore is interested in going so that she can give a first-hand report to the prospective parents.
If anyone else is interested in joining or chairing a committee, please let us know.
District Newsletter – if you have any stories and/or pictures, please forward them to Charlie Cronin to put in our monthly newsletter.
Upcoming events include the next Divisional on January 10 hosted by Garden City and will be held at Borelli's in East Meadow.
Liz Stackowitz was presented with her Installation Pin tonight.
Judy and Irene attended the Massapequa holiday party and brought back raffle tickets – it was agreed to purchase 10 tickets at $5 each.
The Aktion Club and Key Club of Kennedy High School had their joint holiday party today and it was a lot of fun.
Judy thanked John Scalesi for coming to her aid last week. While John Burke was tending to a passing kidney stone at the hospital, John Scalesi turned around on the LIRR and came back to help Judy and the Key Club deliver toys to the children at the Nassau Medical Center.
