Dear Charles (club Treasurer),

On Behalf of all the children who benefit from the work of the Companions in Courage Foundation, we want to thank you for your wonderful support of Russ Marnell's participation in this year's Long Island Marathon. 

Bill & Doreen Isenberg outdid themselves again this year as they hosted another memorable event for all of us.  With more than 80 runners wearing the "Courage" colors, and battling the heat and humidity, this year's event is one we will really cherish.

We especially want to thank you for your generous donation of $500.  The fruit of our combined efforts was recently reinforced when Pat LaFontaine opened our 10th Lion's Den Room at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.  The smiles on the faces of  patients, their families and the staff reminded us how important it is for everyone in the hospital to connect to the outside world.  More than 40,000 children this year will visit a Lion's Den room or play on a mobile Xbox kiosk that has been wheeled to their bedside (including children at NUMC and Winthrop Hospitals).  We hope you ar as proud as we are of what's been accomplished.
