Build Tomorrow's Memories Today
Kamp Kiwanis, owned and operated by the New York District Kiwanis, is an organization that provides a camping experience for youth, adults and individuals with disabilities. Continuing in it's efforts to support Bellmore Community Service and Bellmore Charity Events, The Bellmore Kiwanis Club supports Kamp Kiwanis every year.
The Kamp is located on 102 acres of open and wooded land in the rolling, western foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. There is an Administration building with a Health Center, a Dining Hall and Kitchen, sleeping cabins with electricity, two bath houses, athletic fields, sports courts, a swimming pool, a camping area with a teepee, nature trails, a library, a performance arts building with a stage, an arts and crafts building and a pond for fishing, canoeing and paddle boats. The closest large town is Rome, NY and is six miles away.
Kamp Kiwanis is owned and operated by the New York District Foundation. Since all New York District Kiwanians in good standing are Foundation members, the camp is essentially owned by all Kiwanians in the NY District.
The Kamp has a capacity of 130 Kampers. The Kamping segment for the Kiwanis Club of the Bellmores begins on Sunday August 3rd at 3pm and ends on Saturday August 9th at 8:30am. Pick up and drop off times for the busses will be announced closer to the departure date.
