Attendance Card Collection - Secretary Stephanie

We will be collecting your attendance index cards on Monday February 2nd and will give you new cards for the next semester.  Please remember to bring it if you want to get your attendance credits.

Next Divisional Meeting - President Phoebe

Wednesday January 21st, from 6:30pm – 8:30pm at Massapequa High School.  We will vote for our new Lieutenant Governor, anyone interesting in the position should see Mrs. Marando.  Arrive on time, cooperate, and stay for the entire meeting to receive 2 credits.  Flip for more info.

Lt. Governor Nomination - President Jesse

We can send only 1 person to run for the position of Lt. Governor of Division 5 for next year (Lt. Gov. is in charge of 9 clubs from various schools in our area).  If you are interested please speak to President Jesse or Mrs. Marando ASAP!  There is an information meeting tomorrow, January 13th at 5:30 pm at the Panera Bread in Farmingdale for all candidates from every school. 

Deadly Doo-Wop Dance - Treasurer Daniela

A 50’s themed murder mystery dance on Wednesday February 4th from 7-9pm at Temple Beth Am, 2377 Merrick Ave in Merrick.  Admission is $10 for students, proceeds go to Love Our Children.  You will receive 2 credits for attending. 

Rosemary Kennedy School Dance - Vice President Rebecca

Friday February 6th from 7-9pm at Rosemary Kennedy School (located at 2850 N. Jerusalem Road in Wantagh).  Monthly dance for the BOCES programs of Nassau County.  You will monitor and mingle with the BOCES guests and serve food.  Space is limited to 15 students and you must be able to stay the entire time for 2 credits.  If you have not yet attended this year, you must get there early (6:45pm) for training.  Sign up at a future meeting.

Can Tabs for Charity - Secretary Stephanie

This will be an ongoing collection.  Collect as many can tabs as you possibly can.   Not only will we be helping the environment by recycling the metal can tabs but they will be sold to scrap metal companies for cash that is donated to the Ronald McDonald House charity.  We will collect them at the end of the year. 

Credits Committee - Vice President Phoebe

Earn credit throughout the year by logging our members’ credits.  You must be able to stay after our Monday meetings until about 3:30 to participate.  We will not necessarily meet every week, but we need the same volunteers consistently.  We will meet today. 

Adjournment - President Jesse

Make sure you pick up verification forms for all activities you participate in.  Get them signed before handing them in with your name, grade, and activity listed.  For all activities, the Activity Verification Form must be signed by the advisor, a person running the event, or an officer, and must be handed in within 1 week at our Monday meetings or to Mrs. Marando in rm 308.
