Officer Elections - President Jesse

Signed contracts are due TODAY!  If you are running you must start attending our weekly officer meetings, every Friday after school in room 308.  We also expect all officers to attend the annual District Leadership Training Conference weekend from Friday March 27th to Sunday March 29th.

District Leadership Conference - Advisor Mrs. Marando

The annual NY District Leadership Training Conference weekend (formerly known as District Convention) is Friday March 27th to Sunday March 29th at the Nevele Grand Resort in Ellenville, NY.  You will attend seminars, workshops, contests, a talent show, a dance, and get to meet Key Clubbers from all over NY state!  The cost is $207 including meals and lodging.  Sign up today if you think you are interested in going so we can determine how many members from our club will be attending.  A permission slip, schedule of events, etc will be available next week. 

Deadly Doo-Wop Dance - Treasurer Daniela

You will receive 2 credits if you submit a signed activity verification form by this Wednesday.  You can drop it off in the folder outside room 308.    

Animal Shelter Collection - Vice President Phoebe

Bideawee is a local animal shelter in need of supplies.  We are collecting gently used bath towels, sheets, blankets, dog and cat toys and treats (no rawhide), cat food, and meat flavored baby food (no dog food).  Bring in at least 3 items in a bag with your name and grade on a piece of paper INSIDE of the bag to receive 1 credit.  Drop off items to room 308 as soon as possible.     

Dog Biscuit Workshop and Delivery - Treasurer Daniela

The new date for baking the biscuits is Tuesday March 3rd right after school in room 137.  The new date for visiting Bideawee to deliver the biscuits is Thursday March 5th at 3pm.  You must have your own ride there and back. The sign up list is full so if you cannot attend these new dates please let us know as soon as possible.         

Dancing with the Teachers - President Jesse

This Wednesday February 11th at 7pm.  Come watch your teachers, including our advisor Mrs. Marando, perform a dance routine with their professional partners from Arthur Murry Dance Studio.  The cost is $10 and you can buy tickets from Mrs. Marando in room 308.  You will receive 1 credit if you submit a signed activity verification form within 1 week of the event. 

Students Assisting Seniors - Vice President Phoebe

This Wednesday February 11th, from 3:00 to 4:45, is the next event at the Bristal in Westbury. There is a limit of 15 students. You need your own ride there and back, and there is a no-jeans policy so please dress nicely. The Bristal is located at 117 Post Ave. in Westbury.  You will receive 2 credits.  Sign up after today’s meeting. 

Can Tabs for Charity - Secretary Stephanie

Keep collecting as many can tabs as you possibly can to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House charity.  We will collect them and award credit at the end of the year. 

Credits Committee - Vice President Phoebe

Earn credits throughout the year by logging our members’ credits.  You must be able to stay after our Monday meetings until about 3:30 to participate.  We will not necessarily meet every week, but we need the same volunteers consistently.  Stay after today’s meeting.   

Adjournment - President Jesse

Make sure you pick up verification forms for all activities you participate in.  Get them signed before handing them in with your name, grade, and activity listed.  For all activities, the Activity Verification Form must be signed by the advisor, a person running the event, or an officer, and must be handed in within 1 week at our Monday meetings or to Mrs. Marando in rm 308.
