Congratulations to our elected officers for the 2009-2010 Key Club year!  President Jesse Forman, Vice Presidents Jackie Roberts and Jordan Bortnick, Secretary Stephanie Sager, Treasurer Danielle Roberts, Webmaster Joe Tsentner, and Editor Nick Tobin.

Enough Credits? - Advisor Mrs. Marando

The end of the year is fast approaching and MANY of you do not have enough credits for active membership!  Get involved ASAP or you will NOT be considered a Key Clubber!

Divisional Meeting - Vice President Jordan

TONIGHT, Monday, March 16th at 6:15 to 8:30.  This is the last Divisional for this Key Club year!  Awards will be given out and old ink cartridges will be collected for recycling so bring yours in.  Dress nice to represent us proudly!  You will receive 2 credits for attending and being cooperative for the FULL meeting.  We also need volunteers to bring food, drinks, and paper supplies.  Sign up after today’s meeting to bring something and you will receive an additional 1 credit.  At tonight’s meeting there will be sign ups tonight for a Volleyball Tournament next Monday, 3/23 at 6pm.  If you’d like to play, get a team of 6-10 Key Clubbers together ASAP.

Blood Drive - President Jesse

Our biggest event of the year!  The blood drive is Thursday March 26th.  We need volunteers to work at the blood drive on your off periods.  You’ll receive 1 credit per period to help with registration and monitor recovering donors or to stay after school and help make the wall of blood drops.  To work at the drive you are required to see a short training video that we plan to show at our next meeting on Monday 3/23.  Sign up by period (off periods only) after today’s meeting.  We also need snack foods, juice, and water brought in early that morning to receive 1 credit.  If you are old enough to donate blood then you can receive credit for your donation if you get an activity verification form signed that day by either Mrs. Marando or Mrs. Mankita.

Chop Your Locks and Camp Adventure Walk-a-thon - Editor Nick

Support our district in raising money to fight cancer!  If you participate in either of these district-wide events, bring an activity verification form to get signed by an administrator or teacher there.  You must turn in your signed form NO LATER than one week after the event to receive 2 credits.

Can Tabs for Charity - Secretary Stephanie

Keep collecting as many can tabs as you possibly can to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House charity.  We will collect them and award credit later in the year.

Credits Committee - Webmaster Joe

Earn credit by logging our members’ credits.  You must be able to stay after our Monday meetings until about 3:30 to participate.  We will not necessarily meet every week, but we need the same volunteers consistently.  Stay after today’s meeting.

Adjournment - President Jesse

Make sure you pick up verification forms for all activities you participate in.  Get them signed before handing them in with your name, grade, and activity listed.  For all activities, the Activity Verification Form must be signed by the advisor, a person running the event, or an officer, and must be handed in within 1 week at our Monday meetings or to Mrs. Marando in rm 308.

*Being in Key Club does NOT guarantee sufficient service for admission to the National Honor Society or to fulfill the community service hours for social studies.
