Call to Order - President Jesse Key Club Pledge - Vice President Rebecca Cystic Fibrosis Bake Sale - Treasurer Dani If you signed up to bring in food for the bake sale tomorrow, please bring it in before 1^st period to room 308. Make sure it is clearly labeled with your name and it must be something homemade. You can still sign up after today’s meeting if you would like to bring something in for 1 credit. Students Assisting Seniors - Vice President Jackie Passover Party this Wednesday 4/8. Located at the Bristal, 117 Post Avenue in Westbury from 3:00-4:45pm. Dance and interact with the senior citizens. Dress nicely, NO JEANS. You need your own ride there and back. You’ll receive 2 credits for attending. Sign up after the meeting. Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast - Kiwanis Advisor Mrs. Mankita The annual Pancake Breakfast is Sunday April 19^th (the last day of April vacation). Sell tickets to the event for $5 each. Sell at least 5 tickets for 2 credits. Money earned goes directly to our club. We also still need a few more volunteers to work at the breakfast (serve food, clean up) from 9:30 to 12:00 noon for 2 credits. Sign up for either after today’s meeting. March of Dimes - March for Babies - Advisor Mrs. Marando Sunday 4/26. One of the most important walks for Key Club International! March for Babies is an annual nationwide walk to raise money to help premature babies and prevent premature births and infant deaths. This event highlights Key Club International’s Major Emphasis Program (MEP) of “Children: Their Future, Our Focus” and so is our first ever MANDATORY event! We expect 100% participation! Join us Sunday April 26^th at 8:30am at Eisenhower Park, NO exceptions! Go to http://www.marchforbabies.org/660630 and click “join this team” to sign up as a member of the JFK Key Club team. You will receive 2 credits for participating in this event, but if you raise $100 or more documented online as a member of our team you will receive 3 credits, raise $200 or more and you will receive 4 credits! You must register online but you may collect donations in person as well and bring them to the walk that day. Top earners will be recognized so get registered and start collecting donations immediately! Robbie’s Run - Secretary Stephanie Sunday 4/26 at Lakeside Elementary School in Merrick. If you plan to partake in Robbie’s Run for 2 credits instead of the March for Babies, bring an activity verification form to be signed by someone running the event. It must be returned to Mrs. Marando within 1 week of the event. Divisional Meeting - Webmaster Joe Wednesday 4/22 at Calhoun from 6-8pm. You must arrive on time, be cooperative and attentive, and stay for the entire 2 hours to receive 2 credits. Please collect unused hotel shampoos, soaps, etc. from vacations and bring them to this divisional meeting to donate to the troops overseas. Adjournment - President Jesse Make sure you pick up verification forms for all activities you participate in. Get them signed before handing them in with your name, grade, and activity listed. For all activities, the Activity Verification Form must be signed by the advisor, a person running the event, or an officer, and must be handed in within 1 week at our Monday meetings or to Mrs. Marando in rm 308. *Being in Key Club does NOT guarantee sufficient service for admission to the National Honor Society or to fulfill the community service hours for social studies.
