Divisional Meeting - Vice President Phoebe

The next divisional meeting will be THIS Wednesday, April 30th at Calhoun High School. There will be a service project which is taking place at 6:00 P.M to make projects for nurses' day.  At 7:30 p.m. the divisional meeting will begin and will end at 8:30 p.m.  Sign in that night at Calhoun to receive 2 credits for attending. The theme is "Scene It" (the game).

Rosemary Kennedy School Dances - Secretary Stephanie

The final dance this year will be this Friday, May 2nd from 7:00-9:00pm.  Sign up today, only if you CAN attend. You will receive 2 credits. (Located at 2850 N. Jerusalem Rd in Wantagh)

March for Babies (formerly "Walk America") - President Jesse

Thank you to all who braved the rain yesterday and participated in the walk to raise money for babies. You will receive 2 credits once you turn in your verification form.

Sunrise Day Camp Walk - Secretary Stephanie

The Sunrise Day Camp Walk will be taking place on Sunday June 8, 2008 to benefit children with cancer at the Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds, 75 Colonial Springs Rd, Wheatley Heights, NY 11798. Go to www.sunrisedaycamp.org and click on the link for the walk. To register, click "Join a Team" and select "JFK Bellmore Key Club." Rebecca Szteinberg will explain more about this event.  You will receive 2 credits

Read and Lead - Treasurer Daniela

This ongoing event takes place on Thursdays after school from 2:20 to 3:30 p.m., on the following dates: 5/1 (this week), 5/8, 5/15, 5/22, 5/29, 6/5 and 6/12. You must attend at least 6 out of the 8 weeks we go to Reinhart in order to receive 4 credits for this activity. Meet Mrs. Mankita in the Learning Center, room 133 on Thursday immediately after school.

Jamaica Hospital Hospice Program - Vice President Rebecca

The Hospice program needs materials for care packages for the families of terminally ill patients. Suggested items: nonperishable snacks, bottled drinks, magazines, books, decks of cards etc. Bring in at least 5 assorted items by Monday, May 5th to receive 1 credit.

Learn to Crochet - Treasurer Daniela

Hospice patients need warm blankets; sign up to learn how to crochet with Mrs. Mankita

Mrs. Marando needs several students to stay after this meeting to log points

Adjournment - President Jesse

Make sure you pick up verification forms for all activities you participate in.  Get them signed before handing them in with your name, grade, and activity listed.  For all activities, the Activity Verification Form must be signed by the advisor, a person running the event, or an officer, and must be handed in within 1 week at our Monday meetings or to Mrs. Marando in rm 308.
