Divisional Meeting - Vice President

The next divisional meeting will be
Wednesday May, 28th at CCA Wantagh High
School. The theme of the meeting is, "Go
Green!" You will receive 2 credits for
attending. We are also trying to think of a
creative way to re-use a sandwich size
Ziplock plastic bag, if we use your idea you
will receive 1 credit.
Key Club Website - Secretary Stephanie
It's finally here! Our club's website is

out! You just might find yourself in some of
the hundreds of photos from various events!
Meeting Changed - Treasurer Daniela
Our meeting for next week will be moved to
Tuesday May 27th because we don't have
school on that Monday. Our Lt. Governor
Breanna is attending so we NEED you to be
here!
Division Updates and Communication -
President Jesse
Lt.Governor Breanna set up a website set up
for clubs in Division 5 to communicate. Sign

FYI our officers meet on Friday right after
school in room 133. If you have an idea or a
question you'd like to present, please feel
free to attend!
Go Green cleanup - Treasurer Daniela
Our Key Club's neighborhood cleanup will be
on Thurs. June 5th at 3:30PM. We will meet
at Ralph's Ices located at 206 Bedford
Avenue. If you are interested in attending
please sign up after the meeting today. You
will receive 2 credits if you attend.
Strawberry Festival - President Jesse
The annual Strawberry Festival will be
taking place from Wednesday May 28th to
Sunday June 1st. The Kiwanis Club needs
volunteers at the Strawberry Festival on:
Wed 5/28 3-6pm, Thurs 5/29 1-3pm, Fri 5/30
5-10pm, Sat 5/31 11am-1pm and 4pm-9pm and on
Sun 6/1 11am-1pm and 4pm-9pm. You must
volunteer for a shift of 3-4 hours to
receive 2 credits. Location- the corner of
Jerusalem Ave and Newbridge Rd. Report
directly to the Strawberry Festival tent.
Volunteers will have the chance to purchase
a ride bracelet for the discounted price of
$12.00.
Dignity Memorial Wall - Secretary

This event will take place on June 7th and
8th. At this event volunteers are needed to
escort guests to their seats and read out
the names of war victims. This event is
located at Route 106/107 in Hicksville, NY
in the Sears shopping center. You will
receive 2 credits for attending this event.
Crohn's and Colitis Walk - Vice President

On Saturday June 7th at Marjorie Post Park
in Massapequa, NY located at 426 Unqua Road.
Registration will be at 5:00PM and the walk
begins at 7:00PM. Register online at http://www.cctakesteps.org/chapter/longisland.htm.
You will receive 2 credits.
Sunrise Day Camp Walk - Secretary

The Sunrise Day Camp Walk will be taking
place on Sunday June 8, 2008 to benefit
children with cancer at the Henry Kaufmann
Campgrounds, 75 Colonial Springs Rd,
Wheatley Heights, NY 11798. Go to
www.sunrisedaycamp.org and click on the link
for the walk. To register, click "Join a
Team" and select "JFK Bellmore Key Club."
You will receive 2 credits for this event.
Read and Lead - Treasurer Daniela
This ongoing event takes place on Thursdays
after school from 2:20 to 3:30 p.m., on the
following dates: 5/22(this week), 5/29, 6/5
and 6/12. You must attend at least 6 out of
the 8 weeks we go to Reinhart in order to
receive 4 credits for this activity. Meet
Mrs. Mankita in the Learning Center, room
133 on Thursday immediately after school.
