The Kiwanis Club of the Bellmores raises money for many different Groups, Clubs, Organizations and Charities, as well as specific individuals and families. Furthermore, our club will help others in need as we see fit.
One of the biggest Initiatives that our club (and Kiwanis Clubs Internationally) supports is Sponsored Youths. These are our High School Key Clubs & Aktion Clubs. We currently sponsor the Bellmore JFK Key Club, the Bellmore Mepham Mepham Key Club, the Grand Avenue Builders Club, and the NEW Aktion Club of Nassau Boces RKS at Bellmore JFK
Funds raised from our various Charity Events and other efforts are used, in part, to support these 4 great Kiwanis Sponsored groups. Our club has always supported the local communities and we have several efforts that we work with on a continuing basis. In addition, the Kiwanis Club of the Bellmores strives to continually find new ways to disseminate our funds. One way that we do this is by offering to help those in need on demand & in whatever way they need.

Our Aktion Club
The Kiwanis Club of the Bellmores is one of the first Long Island based Kiwanis Clubs to sponsor an Aktion Club. The development of the "Aktion Club of Nassau Boces RKS at Bellmore JFK" is something that we are extremely proud of.
We would like to offer a special "thank you" to Bellmore Kiwanian, Judy Mankita. Judy is our liaison to this club as well as the Bellmore John F. Kennedy Key Club and is the creative spark behind the Aktion Club here in Bellmore. THANKS JUDY !

Kiwanis International's Eliminate Project
Kiwanis International and UNICEF have joined forces to save the lives of babies and their mothers by eliminating maternal/neonatal tetanus (MNT), a disease that kills an estimated 60,000 newborns and 30,000 mothers each year. UNICEF Ambassador and actor Tea Leoni delivered the announcement at the 95th Annual Kiwanis International Convention.
“Kiwanis believes that no baby or mother should have to suffer the devastating effects of MNT,” said Kiwanis International President Paul Palazzolo. “Kiwanis will mobilize its nearly 600,000 family members to become tireless advocates for these children and raise needed funds to defeat this deadly disease.”
